MISSOURI SKATEBOARD AND BMX ATHLETES WIN FREE FLOW TOUR EVENT AT AUTUMN RAMP PARK

Pair of Winners to Advance to Free Flow Tour Finals in Salt Lake City 

 

Burr Ridge, IL — June 3, 2008 — 

 D.J. Fort won the skateboard park competition and Justin Jester took 

the title in the BMX park contest this weekend at the Free Flow Tour’s Joplin, Mo. stop, becoming winners 

on the Tour’s 2008 season.  

 

Following Saturday’s skate action at Autumn Ramp Park, 18-year-old Fort of Joplin, Mo. took home the 

skate park title, while Bentonville, Ark.-native Jester, 20, won the BMX park competition on Sunday, June 

1.   

 

“It’s unbelievable,” Jester said after his win, “and winning the Free Flow Tour would be even more 

incredible.” 

 

“It was a great event, and I’m excited that local riders get a chance to prove their mettle in the Free Flow 

Tour finals,” Jeremiah Anderson, Autumn Ramp Park manager, said following the contests. “The Free 

Flow Tour is a great event nationwide, and I’m ready to see riders that are here everyday go to Salt Lake 

City and do their thing. There was some crazy riding this weekend, with some pro-level tricks getting 

thrown.” 

 

With the wins, both Fort and Jester earn automatic bids into the Free Flow Tour finals that will take place 

at the AST Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, September 11-14, 2008. 

 

The Free Flow Tour consists of 50 events across the U.S. and features 30 skateboarding (24 park and six 

vert) and 20 BMX (16 park and four vert) competitions. Encompassing the ‘Flow to Pro’ theme, the two 

overall skate and BMX park champions and the two overall skate and BMX vert champions win a wild 

card spot to compete against the pros at the final stop of the AST Dew Tour, the PlayStation Pro®, in 

Orlando, Fla

Winner to Advance to Free Flow Tour Finals in Salt Lake City 

 

Burr Ridge, IL — June 2, 2008 — 

 Connor Ose took the title in the skateboard park contest this weekend 

at the Free Flow Tour’s Burlington, Vt. stop, edging out some tough competition to become a winner on 

the 2008 Tour. 

 

Following Saturday’s skate action at Talent Skatepark, Ose, 15, won the skate park competition, while 16- 

year-old Jordan Maxham took second and Chris ‘Cookie’ Colbourn, 16, rounded out the top-three 

finishers.   

 

“I was wicked nervous before the competition started, but I’m excited I was able to pull out the win against 

skaters like Cookie. I’m amped that I skated my best today, and I’m really looking forward to representing 

Vermont in the Free Flow Tour finals,” Ose stated following the victory. 

 

“We had a great turnout for the Free Flow Tour, and the day was a huge success. Everyone came out 

and threw down, and the competition was top-notch all day. We’re stoked to finally be an official stop on 

the Free Flow Tour.” Hannah Wood, owner of Talent Skatepark, said. ”We’re psyched that Connor won 

and can show what he’s got for us in the finals in September.”
