Pair of Winners to Advance to Free Flow Tour Finals in Salt Lake City
Burr Ridge, IL — June 9, 2008 —
Liam McCabe won the skateboard park competition and Mike Groff
took the title in the BMX park contest this weekend at the Free Flow Tour’s Jackson, N.J. stop, becoming
winners on the Tour’s 2008 season.
Following Saturday’s skate action at the Incline Club, 13-year-old McCabe took home the skate park title,
while Groff, 19, won the BMX park competition on Sunday, June 8.
“Even though it was ridiculously hot, all of the kids put a lot of effort into the Free Flow Tour competition,”
Katie Munn, apparel manager of the Incline Club, said following the weekend’s events. “Everyone put
their best foot forward despite the heat. The skating and riding were really impressive, both from the
locals and from everyone who came out. With the bands and the giveaways and the riding, the Free Flow
Tour really had a positive vibe, and we’re excited to see how our riders compete in the finals.”
With the wins, both McCabe and Groff earn automatic bids into the Free Flow Tour finals that will take
place at the AST Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, September 11-14, 2008.
